ICA is once again committed to children with heart disease and was again awarded a certificate for the year 2022.
Thanks to the company’s financial support, children with heart disease can be treated according to the latest medical standards.
The Fördergemeinschaft Deutsche Kinderherzzentren e.V. was founded by doctors and parents of children with heart disease in 1989. The first goal was to counteract the acute emergency in paediatric heart surgery. In 2000, the German Children’s Heart Centre in Sankt Augustin started its work with a capacity of up to 700 operations per year. A great success, made possible by the help of sponsors!
This should also apply to those affected throughout Germany and beyond: Children with congenital heart defects should have the same chance of recovery everywhere.
This includes, for example, the expansion of further paediatric cardiac surgery centres, the improvement of technical and personnel equipment, the support of scientific projects as well as information and education about congenital heart defects. The success of all efforts is based on the loyal support of donors.
