moBiel GmbH receives 230 Traveller CLS

ICA Traffic GmbH wins another EU-wide tender procedure: moBiel GmbH in Bielefeld commissions ICA Traffic GmbH with 230 mobile cashless ticket stations ‘Traveller CLS’.

ICA Traffic GmbH was once again successful in an EU-wide tender process and was awarded the contract to supply mobile ticket stations for moBiel GmbH. In addition to 230 Traveller CLS, the project also includes our modular sales background system, tariff implementations, prepaid card system and a comprehensive maintenance contract.

The aim is to modernise and abolish driver sales in the long term in order to make the use of local transport as customer-friendly as possible and to relieve the burden on drivers. moBiel GmbH currently operates 80 bus routes in Bielefeld and the surrounding area with 132 of its own buses and 107 additional buses from 14 private providers.

The scope of the contract comprises 230 Traveller CLS ticket stations including a modular sales background system and fare implementations. A comprehensive maintenance contract is also part of the agreement to ensure smooth operation in the long term. Thanks to the flexible system structure of our sales background system, Traveller CLS can be expanded in future to include additional functionalities, including ID and account-based ticketing, integration of functions in accordance with the VDV-KA standard, such as checking travel authorisations. This ensures that moBiel GmbH can react to future requirements at any time and integrate new technologies into the system.

The Traveller CLS is equipped with a pin-on-glass payment terminal (IM15), which processes prepaid cards and payment cards for refugees in addition to traditional cashless payment methods.
This enables simple, digital payment processing and allows passengers to make purchases quickly and easily.

The Traveller CLS is characterised by its intuitive operation:Functions such as two-finger zoom and swipe gesture control make it much easier to use. The devices can also display videos and animations, providing additional space for information. These operating functions enable barrier-free use, among other things, and the Traveller CLS meets the requirements of the Barrier-Free Strengthening Act (BFSG).

With this innovative project, moBiel GmbH is sending a clear signal in the direction of digitalisation and customer friendliness, thus laying the foundation for a future-proof distribution system in Bielefeld’s local transport system.

We look forward to a good and successful co-operation with mobiel GmbH.
