On 5 and 6 June 2019, the PARKEN trade fair was held in the RheinMain CongressCenter in Wiesbaden. ICA presented its product developments and the new generation of devices as from 2020 at a 42 m2 stand.
The focus was on the new cashless ticket machine in combination with the traditional chip card and barcode. It was set centre stage, thus becoming the eye-catcher of the stand. The large display with a separate area for advertising and customer information was one of the highlights for our visitors.
In addition to cashless payment at ticket vending machines, the topic of “ticketless entry and exit with vehicle license plate recognition” was presented at the fair. Cameras placed directly next to the barriers caused these barriers to open for short-term and season parkers. The fee was paid at the new vending machine by entering the license plate number.
The whole system was completed by the possibility to pay at the driveout via contactless reader up to EUR 25.00 without having to enter a PIN. Visitors were thrilled by additional options such as LED lighting at barriers and stations, integrated cameras in the machines for video telephony, and the additional 15-inch information display at the ticket stations.
On a separate sideboard, the new access control device with its high-quality stainless steel front was displayed. The new web-based multi-ticket system could be viewed on PC and tablet. Apart from that, barcodes and chip cards were directly discounted online into the system by the new ticket validator.
